There are some phrases we hear often in English that difficult to understand what they are saying if you are not living in this country. That is called idioms or saying. People usually convey their implications or thoughts in indirect way by idiom or saying. Let’s consider what and how is it.

In some ways, using sayings might be a friendly and close way to talk with each other. Let’s see a usual example of saying :” keep an eye on” . That means look after something or someone. If someone said to you : “ Can you keep an eye on our baby ” , it is a gentle reminder instead of “Please look out of her carefully”
